Magic Quilt is designed to help families manage tasks and routines more easily. We only request access to data necessary for this purpose (e.g., calendar events, emails you've chosen to connect).

How We Use Your Data

  • We do not sell your data to any third parties.
  • Your data may be processed by third-party AI services (e.g., large language models from OpenAI or Anthropic) to provide intelligent summaries, recommendations, or reminders.
  • These services process your data solely for inference and do not retain it for training unless explicitly agreed.

Data Protection

We take the security of your family's data seriously. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS. OAuth tokens and sensitive credentials are encrypted at rest before storage. Our application infrastructure is hosted on secure, access-controlled cloud platforms. We restrict internal access to user data to only what is necessary to operate and improve the service.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data only for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Data obtained through Google APIs (including calendar events and email content) is stored only to deliver Magic Quilt's household management features and is not used for any other purpose.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings. Upon account deletion, all personal data — including data obtained from Google and Microsoft APIs — is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. You can also revoke Magic Quilt's access to your Google or Microsoft account at any time through your account settings on those platforms, and we will stop accessing new data immediately.

Transparency & Control

You can view and manage your connected accounts and data sources from your Magic Quilt settings at any time. You can revoke access to your data via the Google and Microsoft account dashboards, or disconnect individual data sources within Magic Quilt.
